There are many acting schools, but few combine teaching with real directing and casting experience. At Northern Film & Drama, students don’t just learn how to act, they learn how to perform as if they are on set. Through carefully designed online scenarios, they experience:

A Note for Parents and Agents
I understand that many children already have agents, and I want to make it very clear: my online training is not about recruiting children away from their existing representation. I am happy to speak directly with an agent and, if needed, put a formal agreement in place to reassure everyone involved. My role is purely to train, prepare, and give children the professional skills they need to succeed, not to interfere with their current representation.

Alyson – Over 35 Years in the Acting and Film Industry
With a career spanning more than three decades, Alyson has dedicated her life to nurturing talent and inspiring performers to reach their full potential. Her expert coaching has helped countless students secure roles in Hollywood films, BBC dramas, prime-time soaps, and award-winning productions.
Passionate, experienced, and committed to every student’s growth, Alyson blends her deep knowledge of performance with a personalised approach, equipping aspiring actors with the skills and confidence to succeed on stage and screen.
Garrick
Garrick
Garrick has been acting since 2019, appearing in a wide range of films and dramas. His screen work includes playing a Police Constable Jones in One Fatal Moment and the ongoing role of Bruce Nando in the series Platform 2C. He has also been involved in numerous role-play projects for charitable organisations, bringing depth and realism to each portrayal. On radio, Garrick took on the role of Doctor Brathwaite in the drama Betrayal and Deception, demonstrating his strong vocal presence and versatility as a performer.
Chloe Hindley
BA Honours in Child Development. Chloe has been teaching for us for the last four years and supports children who need that extra help with confidence and self esteem. Her kind and helpful approach is full appreciated by the parents and children.
Aisha
Aisha
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Acting and Media Studies. 1-1 Aisha started young and had roles in Waterloo Road, Emmerdale and numerous commercials. She is now playing the role of Bella in Platform 2C.
Aisha has also run a theatre school in North Shields for many years.
She loves dancing, yoga and travel.

Children’s acting workshop coaching is available at our the studio in Leeds (All staff have checks in place.) Audition technique, self-tapes, script readings, improvisation technique, confidence boosting, etc.

Option 1 payable on the day before the lesson

Children’s Online Workshops: £30 per session (term time only)
📅 Workshops run Tuesday evenings:

5:00pm – 6:00pm → Ages 8–12

6:00pm – 7:00pm → Ages 13–18
- Option 2 Pay a monthly fee
- Standing order £80.00 a month works out at £24.00 per session.
- Please note fees are worked out and spread over 12 months.
